Dear Friends It gives me immense pleasure to get an opportunity to talk to you. I have always enjoyed sharing experiences, good and bad, with students. Even after you all have now entered professional career after training at NITH, I have tried to remain in active contact with many of you. Now through this platform I reach out to all of you. The institute is passing through a period of rapid change. Many new dimensions are being added to it. We have started with four PG programmes from academic session 2005-06 in Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering Departments. Few more PG programmes are being started from coming academic session. Almost all the departments have candidates pursuing Ph.D. degree. Many new buildings such as, Auditorium, Stadium, Hostels, Departments, etc. have been constructed in recent past. Departments have augmented facilities in laboratories. All the hostel rooms have Internet facility. We are aware that many of you could not avail of these during your stay at NITH. We are proud that you all have made most of the facilities existent and excelled. It is natural that any new development at NITH still thrills you. We have tried to provide best possible training to you at NITH. We expect that you will prove yourself to be the very best in your present organizations. Let the name of NITH be respected and recognized through your achievements. This will be the best way in which you can help your Alma Mater to grow. I am confident that all of you are doing extremely well in your professional lives. Despite the physical distances and diverse professional lives, we share one thing in common and that is NITH. We are all part of one family that is growing steadily. We want that the forum of Alumni Association be the link between you and your Alma Mater. We are making efforts to make the bond stronger than ever. A road map for growth of institution for next fifteen years is being finalized. You can make valuable contribution to this process as you are enriched by your experiences in the professional careers. We solicit your suggestions on all aspects of NITH. Let us work as a team to make NITH a true leader in technical education and an enjoyable place to live at. For any questions, suggestions, or comments feel free to email me at dean_saa@nith.ac.in.
