The Kolkata-North East Alumni Local Chapter of NIT Hamirpur Alma matter was constituted in a function under the Chairmanship of Prof. Inder Krishan Bhat on 26th December, 2009. Prof. Lalit Awasthi (Dean Student Welfare & Alumni Affairs) and Mr. Surender Soni (President NITH Alumni Association & Coordinators Alumni Affairs) NIT Hamirpur were also present. It was attended by more than 16 alumnus of NIT Hamirpur and their families. Mr. Shankar Das and Amitabh Dutta were elected the President and the General Secretary of Kolkata-North East Local Alumni Chapter.
