 The following  Projects are formulated / are in the Process of formulation by the Faculty :

I. Prof. S.S. Chandel :

1. Proposal for the Establishment of Energy Park at NIT, Hamirpur :Submitted to Ministry of New & Renewable Energy Sources, Govt Of India

2. Improving Energy Efficiency at NIT Hamirpur  : To be Submitted To Bureau of Energy Efficiency , GOI

3. Proposal to establish  Hygienic Solar Steam Generating Cooking Systems in Hostels of NIT for Fuel saving  :  HIMURJA /MNRE

4. Proposal to Establish  a  100 KWp Solar PV Plant  & Energy Efficient Lighting at NIT  : MNRE /Himurja

5. Formulation of  Proposal for Energy Efficient Solar Passive Building Programme  for HP under process in Consultaion with ADME [ French Agency for Renewable Energy ]/ HP Govt

New Initiatives :

1. Preparation of Draft  Guidelines For incorporation of Solar  Passive  Features in Building Byelaws for Department of TCP, Govt Of HP; HP Govt Notification Issued on June 27 2009.

2.  Identified Priorities Areas of Research in Renewable Energy & submitted to Govt Of HP  July 2009

3. Getting Declared Shimla & Hamirpur to be developed as Solar Cities  by HP  Govt Aug 2009
