The department of Humanities & Social Sciences came in to existence in 1986. The department comprises of various disciplines, namely Communication Skills, Managerial Economics, Professional Ethics and Human values, Principles of Management, Dynamics of Behavioral Sciences in Industries, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Engineering Economics, and Financial Management. The department has developed infrastructure of high quality to fulfill the needs of engineering streams. The faculty members are constantly engaged in research and development activities and have contributed a number of research papers in the various journals and conferences of national and international repute. The department also offers Ph.D
