1. Organized Entrepreneurship Course titled Business Skill Development Programme associated with MSME-DI (MSME Development Institute), Solan (H.P) during 11.12.2009 to 10.01.2010 at NIT Hamirpur (HP) for our students and following students had attended the course:
 

    2. Training & Placement Cell of this Institute had extended support to Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Chandigarh to organize the JOB FAIR -2010 at NIT Hamirpur (HP) on March 19-20, 2010. During above programme, around 50 (fifty) companies visited the fair and around 600 candidates have been selected during the job fair.  

     3.  Arranged Fast Track Selection (FTS) event of Indian Air Force held at NIT Hamirpur (HP) conducted for Engineers and Graduates from March 27-28, 2010. During process, 10 officers and 30 other ranks officials had visited the Institute.

     4. NIT Hamirpur (H.P) is Institutional member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region Office, Chandigarh and meetings are being attended from time to time.

      5.  Sixteen final year students of Electronics & Communication Engineering Discipline who performed their summer training with M/s ERICSSON India (P) Limited during May – June, 2010 were paid Rs. 10,000/- each as stipend by the company.

6. Arranged to launched the EMPOWER – University Relationship Program for B.Tech final year Electronics & Communication Engineering Students of NIT Hamirpur (HP) on September 10, 2010 by M/s ERICSSON Forum, DLF Cyberciti, Sector 25A, Gurgaon at NIT Hamirpur (HP)

7. Arranged an Expert lecture on “Art of Mind Control” delivered by experts of M/s VEDIC for our B.Tech 1st, 2nd & 3rd year students at NIT Hamirpur (HP) on March 29, 2011.

8. Arranged to organize the Project Campus programme Jumpstart-I for 10 days (8 hours per day for all Wipro Recruiters) at NIT Hamirpur (HP) during 1st week of May, 2011. Faculty & Staff of our Institute had been appreciated by M/s WIPRO to provide the cooperation in arranging the required logistics and other facilities to conduct the programme.

12. We are in the process of Campus Connect with M/s Infosys. The matter has been discussed and to be finalized in due course of time.

Industry Feedback:

1. We are also getting a continuous feedback from the industry about our students recruited during the previous years through campus recruitment. Our students are doing very well in these organizations. Because of improved infrastructure in the institute during the last couple of years, praiseworthy performance of our passed out students in the industrial organizations and our continuous pursuation, many companies of repute showed their interest to visit our institute on the very first day of campus recruitment schedule.

3 Our unstinted support and wonderful hospitability to arrange Fast Track Selection (FTS) event of Indian Air Force held at NIT Hamirpur (HP) conducted for Engineers and Graduates from March 27-28, 2010 by the IAF’s testing team had been appreciated by Wing Commander Vikram Bakshi, Joint Director Personnel Officers (Publicity) Air HQs, Disha, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi.

4 Faculty & Staff of our Institute had been appreciated by M/s WIPRO to provide the cooperation in arranging the required logistics and other facilities to conduct the Project Campus programme Jumpstart-I for 10 days (8 hours per day for all Wipro Recruiters) at NIT Hamirpur (HP) during 1st week of May, 2011.
 

    Study and survey will be conducted by faculty and students on industry specific problems. Faculty members can be sent to the industry for training under the faculty exchange program.
