HOW TO REACH THE PLACE OF CONGRESS 

Hamirpur is a small town and houses headquarter of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. The campus of the instituation is situated at Anu about 2 kms. From the Hamirpur town on Jalandhar Mandi , National highway (NH70) with picturesque surrounding facing snow clad Dhauladhar mountain ranges and lush green pine trees surrounding. Located at an altitude of about 900 above sea level, Hamirpur has a very healthy climate with moderate temperatures ranging from 40C (minimum) in winters to 380 C  (maximum) in summer. Temperatures in December will be low and warm clothing is recommended. Hamirpur is about 450 Km away (10-12hrs journey by bus) from Delhi and 220 km (5-6 hrs by bus) North- East of Chandigarh. There are regular buses from Chandigarh and Delhi (ISBT) directly to Hamirpur, or Palampur, Baijnath, Sujanpur, Awahdevi etc. in addition to direct buses from Jalandhar (about 140 km) via Hamirpur. The nearest railway station is at Una (Himachal Pradesh) which is nearly 80 km from hamirpur, and is well connected to all parts of india. Himachal express (4553) and Janshatabdi express (2057) are the trains available from Delhi at 10:15 pm and 3:00 pm, respectively. Una haridwar and Kolkata Nangal are new trains likely to be introduced on this track. The nearby airports are at kangra (85 km), Shimla (150 km) and Kullu (140 km) in addition to Chandigarh (220 km). Direct flights from Delhi to these places are available. Due to unpredictable weather in Dharamsala / Shimla , it is advisable to travel by air up to Chandigarh or Delhi and then get to hamirpur by Road or train.
