* As the foremost task of Literacy Mission is to impart education to all, kids are taught daily for 1.5 hours to make them excel in studies.

* Literacy Mission provides financial assistance by paying the school fees of children whose parents have meagre income

* Provides books and stationery materials like pencils, pens, notebooks etc. to the children free of cost.

* Provides medical assistance to those children whose parents cannot afford the expenses.

* Distributes clothes, woollens and other useful stuffs to the families of these children. Clothes and other materials are donated by students, staff and faculty of NITH whole heartedly.

* Distributes sweets and refreshments (fruits, etc.) to the students twice a week to motivate them as well as for their physical well-being.

* Makes basti dwellers socially aware about family planning and motivates them to alleviate their standard of living by rooting out the malice residing in their neighbourhoods.
