SILVER JUBILEE MEMOIR

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur erstwhile Regional Engineering College (REC) was established in the year 1985-86. The Institute has indeed come a long way since its inception and has developed into a leading technical Institution of higher learning. Today, NIT Hamirpur evolved into a premier educational Institution and has experienced rapid growth in many spheres.

The success achieved by the Institute has been phenomenal, and it has truly emerged as a solitaire, glittering and shining brightly, carving a niche for itself in the field of technical education.

To commemorate this glorious journey, it has been decided to prepare a Compendium of Developments and Achievements of the Institute for the period from 1985-86 to 2011-2012 in the form of a Memoir for placing on record its wonderful journey of 25 years.
