AICTE/MHRD sponsored Summer School on "Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security IINS-10 (5-10 July, 2010)"

AICTE/MHRD sponsored Summer School on "Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security IINS-10 (5-10 July, 2010)"  being organised by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, NIT Hamirpur was inaugurated by Prof. M.K. Kapoor,  professor from IIT Kanpur and former vice chancellor Thapar University. Mr. Ananth, Technical Manager,  Cisco Systems India  and the coordinator of the course, was the guest of Honour for the function. The programme started with the lighting of lamp seeking blessings of almighty God. About 25 participants from all over the country are attending the school. This school is being organised in collaboration with Cisco Systems India with 80% of practicals and 30% of theoretical component. The classes shall be conducted by Mr. Ananth supported by faculty and staff of CSED and CC, NIT Hamirpur.   Prof. M.K. Kapoor in his inaugural address, applauded the efforts of  the coordinators  for conducting a programme as an example of Industry Institute Interaction in the emerging fields. In the era of Internet security has become pertinent for all organisations and their is a need for skilled man power. He thanked Cisco systems  especially Mr. Lokesh Mehra and his team for taking such intiatives. Dr. Narottam Chand, Head of the Department, apprised the gathering about the activities and resources available in the department,  NIT Hamirpur.  The course is being coordinated by Dr.(Mrs.) Kamlesh Dutta,  Mr. Ananth, Dr. R.K. Dutta and Mr. Pardeep Singh.
