Thirty five participants from far off villages of District Hamirpur are attending the training program being sponsored by NIT Hamirpur under Services to Community. Prof. Y. R. Sood Officiating Director & Dean ( IRD&C ) inaugurated the said STTP. While inaugurating the program, Prof. Sood highlighted the great effort made by NIT authorities in helping society especially people around NIT capmus for providing institutional facilies for their general welfare & providing training in several key areas relevant to them. In addition, Dr. Yogesh Gupta - Co-ordinator Services to communities, Prof. Ram Naresh Sharma - Head, EED also apprised the participants about several aspects of Electricity & its proper use for safety & careful handling of appliances to avoid accidents. Dr. A. K. Chandel & Dr. R. K. Jarial also spoke on this occasion.
