The Foundation Stone of Industrial Research Centre is laid by Prof. I. K. Bhat, Director NIT Hamirpur on 22-01-2010. This will be a five storeyed building. Its basement will be used as a parking area and the remaining floors will be used for faculty rooms and workshops/labs etc.. The tentative cost for the construction of this centre will be Rs. 8 crores
