NIT Hamirpur has its own dedicated health centre for the better health care of its students and staff. It is equipped with basic medical facilities and in case of emergency, patients are referred to the Zonal Hospital, Hamirpur. Presently, the health centre is serving the strength of more than 1200 undergraduate and postgraduate students, faculty and staff members including their wards .

The OPD timings are 9:0 AM to 12:15 PM (Morning) and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (Evening) for Monday to Friday and 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday. 

If a student falls ill on or before the final examinations, one  may get a medical certificate from the Medical Officer for this purpose. The medical facilities are available free of cost to the students. An ambulance is available round the clock to face any kind of emergency.

During the vacations, normal timing will be observed (i.e. Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
